Delight Your Senses at Seneca Shore Wine Cellars
There’s nothing like kicking back on a beautiful day and enjoying a glass of premium wine with your coworkers after a long week. To create the perfect sip, it takes experts in the wine industry combined with the right ambiance—and Seneca Shore Wine Cellars checks all the boxes.
Read on to learn more about how Seneca Shore achieves their award-winning flavors and how their medieval-themed winery can add excitement to your weekend plans.
The History of Seneca Shore Wine Cellars
In 1979, Seneca Shore Wine Cellars’ Gold Medal Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon were born when the farm was established on 23 acres. This plot of land was specifically chosen due to its location in the deepest part of the Finger Lakes, storing warmth all winter long to prevent the vineyard’s grape buds from fatal frost. Additionally, the soil on these grounds is fortified with more limestone, leading to a more neutral soil with a pH of 6.9.
But what does this mean for you?
Simply put, the wines at Seneca Shore are different in flavor and taste than any other wines in the area. A feat which has led their farm to expand its land to 85 acres and a tasting room for more than 30,000 visitors to enjoy each year.
The Flavors of Seneca Shore
Don’t just take our word for how unique these wines are—try them for yourself! Stop by their medieval-themed tasting room to try out the Red Knight with notes of plum, black raspberry, and cinnamon.
If a sweet white wine compliments your palette more, crack open a bottle of Golden Harvest Chardonnay. Its hints of pear, golden apples, and golden raisins finished off with a little spice will leave your taste buds dancing.
